Dr. Jeff Halsell is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Internal Medicine. He focuses his practice on outpatient diagnosis and treatment of pain. Dr. Halsell completed medical school at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa. He trained for Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine – Tulsa. He completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.
Before treatment, Dr. Halsell first establishes a correct diagnosis for what is causing the painful condition. He accomplishes this by utilizing a thorough physical examination, advanced diagnostic imaging and electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS). Dr. Halsell then approaches the treatment of pain with a team approach. He focuses on conservative treatments of pain encompassing physical therapy, manual manipulation, aquatic therapy, medical management, peripheral blocks, and fluoroscopically guided interventional spine procedures.
